49 year old vines, loamy, mineral laden soil, a steep southern hillside and the gentle breezes that at night wave from the Viennese Woods over the Pointengraben to Grinzing and Vienna City, as well as 365 days of manual care of these patriarchal vines - this creates a “Grüner Veltliner”, which tastes like this: the scent of the grand matured mango fruit, caramel, sweet honey, minerally highlighted, smoothly caressing the tongue, pure fruit, exotic spiceyness, racey soil-accents, fresh acidity. A regional speciality, a “Veltliner du Terroir”.
