David Bowler Philosphy

David Bowler Wine is a New York based importer and distributor focusing on naturally made, small batch wines from around the world. Working with importers and directly with wineries, it is our mission to present wines of personality and character, wines that reflect something about where they are made and who made them.

Our portfolio consists of wines from the major European wine regions, especially France, Germany, Spain, Austria and Italy. We also represent small wineries from California, Washington State, Oregon, Chile and Argentina. Most are family run farms with owner/winemakers. We are proud to be able to make these delicious wines available to our customers. And of course, because great wine is a living product, all of our wines are shipped and stored in a temperature controlled environment.

A company is only as good as its employees. We have the best and finest office staff and sales staff of any company, regardless of size. A quick look through their bios will illustrate the point. The company has been successful because of the quality and value of our wines and because of the positive relationships built over time between our customers and our salespeople. Treating customers and employees with respect, seeking out and offering for sale interesting and honest wines are all part of our company's philosophy.

David Bowler History

I started the company in the fall of 2003 with a small but solid book of German and French wines and two employees. With a few wines, a vision, and a lot of ambition, we began to sell wine to key accounts in New York and New Jersey.

In the ten + years since opening, we have grown to 30 employees and expanded our portfolio considerably. We represent wines from most of the major wine regions in the world and work with many of the region's leaders in quality. Our wines are found in the best restaurants and retail stores throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and California. We look forward to many more years of sustainable growth, more wine discoveries and further adventures along the wine trail.
