Ampeleia IGT Costa Toscana
The lion's share of this blend is Cabernet Franc; the rest is mostly Sangiovese, with small amounts of four other varieties native to the Mediterranean basin. Sourced from parcels at 200-600 meters above sea level. The fruit was harvested from the 10th of September to the 5th of October at yields of 35–40 hl/ha. The grapes are fully destemmed and there is a maceration of 10-15 days. Aged 16 months in wood/cement tanks followed by 12 months of aging in bottle before release. 20,000 bottles produced.
