Branco Monte Pratas
The wine is a field blend of the following grapes: Perola, Arinto, Rabo Ovelha, Alicante Branco and Tamarez all grown on a mixture of granite and clay soils. It comes from the village of Reguengo in Portalegre, a sub-section of Alentejo. Grapes are direct pressed, fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for three months. Aging takes place in a 1400L chestnut vat. 25mg/kg of S02 is usually added to the grapes at press. In the spring, 25mg is added to the wine one month before bottling. Total SO2 is under 30mg/L.
