100% Chenin Blanc. Calligramme is the old-vine version of Les Rosiers: a Jasnières bottling from multiple parcels, with vines ranging in age from 50 to 75 years old, on particularly rocky, tuffeau-rich clay-flint soils on south-southwest-facing slopes. The collective yield is a modest 25-35 hl/ha. The sites are farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand. The fruit is direct-pressed and barrel-fermented with native yeasts and minimal sulfur; the wine is aged in mostly used barrels with a small proportion of new oak for one year.
