Chablis Grand Cru Preuses

Simultaneously powerful, very fat and very fine, elegant and voluptuous. From 35 year-old vines with southern exposure.  Aged for 14 months on lees in a Stockinger barrel.

"The 2017 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru, which is aged in 15-hectolitre foudres, has a very harmonious bouquet with orange blossom, linseed, and just a faint whiff of yeast in the background. The palate is well balanced with a powerful entry, a fresh line of acidity, quite compact on the mid-palate, though I prefer the precision and tension displayed by the Côte de Léchet at the moment."

"The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses unfurls in the glass with a bouquet of fresh peach and white flowers that seems to be subtly framed by spicy recently used oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied, glossy and tensile, with good balance and an elegant, chalky profile. Of all Brocard's 2017s, the Preuses will demand the most time."
