100% Malbec from Serpiente, a 47-acre vineyard planted in 2001 at 3,200 feet altitude in Agrelo. The soils here are red clay; the vines are farmed sustainably.
The fruit is destemmed, then vinified with native yeasts over 40 days. Aged for 8 months, 40% in new French oak.
The wine is dark, with notes of dark fruits; supple tannins and hint of oak lead to a round, smooth finish wrapped in caramel and walnuts.
