Champagne Cuvée 737 Dégorgement Tardif

As the 700-series is the only release each year, the Chiquet brothers decided to start a late disgorgement bottling on the 700-wine: after 90 months on the lees under cork, the 737 was late disgorged in November 2017. It’s based on the 2009 vintage.

From Jacquesson: “Winter was cold and dry, spring mild but with a lot of rain, bringing with it a serious threat of mildew. Thankfully, summer was dry and warm while the weather at the end of the growing season was magnificent. The grapes were in superb condition at harvest with a maturity similar to that of 2002. Our hopes for a great vintage were fully realized.”

"...shows all the radiance and suppleness of the base 2009 vintage. Racy, silky and polished, with plenty of near-term appeal, the 737 is a gorgeous Champagne to drink now and over the next handful of years. Expressive orchard fruit, mint and white pepper notes are nicely pushed into the foreground. This is the first vintage that is aged on the cork. Disgorged November 2017. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter."
