"The NV Brut Nature Cuvée Louis is based on 2000 with 15% of the 1999 version. Vinification in barrel gives the Cuvée Louis its characteristic burnished, oxidative personality. Smoke, butter, new oak, caramel, orange peel and spice wrap around a core of deep, layered fruit. I would prefer to drink this sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see if the new oak, which is strong today, dissipates with further time in bottle. Disgorged: January, 2016."
