Chardonnay Affinités Willamette Valley
“Affinity” or a connection between two different ideas, became the perfect name for this 2018 Charonnay. The team wanted to show that although on their own, their vineyards (Bishop Creek Yamhill-Carlton, Eola-Amity) give a decent representation of their specific area but together the complexity, balance, and delicacy of the entire Willamette Valley is shown.
Harvested in the middle of September, grapes are picked based on specific criteria (ie aromatics, color, etc) of the team rather than the usual ripeness. Soon after, grapes are slowly pressed and undergo a cold maceration with a gentle extraction. Aged in 100% neutral French oak and bottled in January of 2020.
