This appellation blend of Chardonnay is sourced from two organically farmed vineyards on opposite sides of Anderson Valley. The Valenti Ranch is a mid elevation (1250-1400ft) site on top of Greenwood Ridge, 6 miles from the ocean. The steep hillside faces Northeast and is perched on a cool sandy slope. On the opposite side of the Valley is Clow Ridge on a bench land vineyard at approximately 1,000 ft facing Southwest. The soils are a mélange of ancient oceanic sedimentary materials that include gravelly sandy loams, decomposed sandstone, and shale with varying levels of clay. All native fermentation, 100% malolactic, aged for eleven months in neutral French oak foudre and barrique. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
