Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte

2016

From a .16 hectare parcel planted in the mid-1970's. It has a deep clay top soil that is ploughed to push the roots to go down to limestone subsoil. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months (approximately 15% new). 30-45 g/L sulfur added at bottling.

"This too is very fresh with a slightly more exotic nose that reflects notes of lemon, white peach, mandarin and a wisp of Viognier. There is first-rate size, weight and density to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess so much sap it imparts a borderline chewy but not rustic texture to the impressively persistent finish. Recommended."
