"A wine I suspect will be the white wine of the vintage, the 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Spéciale Vieilles Clairettes Blanc is a tiny production cuvée (there’s only 800 magnums made) that comes from a single parcel of very old Clairette, and spends two years in new demi-muids. A rich, unctuous, incredibly textured white that’s overflowing with notions of orange marmalade, pineapple, buttered citrus and toasted bread, it has full-bodied richness, a thick, layered texture and a great finish. Don’t miss it!"

"Pale green-hued yellow. A highly complex, mineral-accented bouquet evokes ripe citrus and orchard fruits, iodine, buttered toast and pungent flowers, and a hint of anise emerges with air. Shows superb depth and clarity, offering vibrant orange, pear nectar, sweet butter and fennel flavors that tighten up slowly on the back half. Powerful yet graceful in style, displaying superb focus and minerally thrust on an impressively long finish that features lingering floral and orchard fruit flourishes. "
