"Looking much suaver and more elegant than the recently bottled 2017, the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Colombis features aromas and flavors of nearly crystalline-pure red berries, accented by hints of star anise, ground allspice and orange zest. Full-bodied and silky-textured, it's a beauty in the making, with a fine bone structure supporting succulent, well-toned flesh."

"What could end up being the wine of the vintage, the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Colombis is basically all Grenache brought up in demi-muids. It exhibits a deep purple color as well as a blockbuster bouquet of blackcurrants, smoked herbs, ground pepper, and cured meats. Deep, full-bodied, powerful, and tasting like the essence of Provence, it has sweet tannins, the rounded, sexy style of the vintage, and a finish that won’t quit. Love Grenache? Buy this wine."
