As of 2016, there were only 17 reported acres of Chenin Blanc in Napa. The block of Chenin at Galleron was grafted onto Merlot rootstock in 2014, as the gravelly, clay soils seemed more suitable for the variety.
The fruit was hand-harvested, (1.08 tons total), foot-stomped and left on the skins for in the picking bins for 3 hrs. After pressing, the grapes were fermented in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak and then aged on the lees for 6 months in similar vessels. 49cs produced.
