"The 2021 Pop Cozs Tinto from António Marques-Da-Cruz and Tiago Teles is made entirely from
Castelão, grown in Montejunto, just north of Lisbon. The wine is one hundred percent whole cluster, only macerates for three days and is aged for eleven months prior to bottling, with an eye towards making it immediately inviting. The wine offers up a lovely, quite transparent nose of red and black cherries, woodsmoke, fresh herbs, a fine base of soil, a touch of meatiness and a topnote of bitter cherry skin. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and soil-driven, with a good core, lovely focus and balance, suave tannins and a long, bouncy and complex finish. This is a lovely wine, with impressive intensity of flavor and complexity. 2023-2035+."
