"The 2021 Rioja “La Dula” from Sandra Bravo’s Bodega Sierra de Toloño is made entirely
from old vine Garnacha (vines in excess of eighty years-old!), fermented in old oak foudres and raised in amphorae. The wine comes in at fourteen percent octane and offers up a beautifully complex bouquet of red and black raspberries, garrigue, cigar smoke, stony soil tones, wild fennel and a lovely topnote of Rioja spice tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and elegant in profile, with a great core of old vine fruit, beautiful soil signature, ripe, buried tannins and a long, tangy, complex and impeccably balanced finish. This is a simply great bottle of Garnacha in the making. 2029-2065+"
