Gewurztraminer "Beckenridge Vineyard"
The 12.75 acre Beckenridge Vineyard (located in Dallas, OR in the Willamette Valley AVA) was originally planted in 1976 by the Hudson family. The own-rooted vines are planted at 650 feet elevation in Jory (red volcanic) and loam soils. The farming is in conversion to fully organic thanks to the fine folks at Maloof and Fossil & Fawn who are now buying all of the fruit produced at the vineyard.
Fruit is 100% destemmed, and fermented on the skins until fully dry (this vintage took ~24 days). It is then pressed off the skins and aged in neutral french oak barrels for 10 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.
