Grüner Veltliner FIO "Wachau"
F.I.O. stands for four-in-one, a reference to the four vineyards that are blended to make this Wachau Grüner Veltliner and it also happens to be the name of the family dog. The vines are ten to 30 years-old and come from the right bank of the Danube with mainly sandy loess soils. Fermentation lasted for seven weeks (no added yeasts) in stainless steel; aged in stainless steel on the fine lees until a gentle filtration before bottling. The ABV is a refreshing 12% and the wine is bursting with juicy yellow fruits - nectarine, mirabelle plums - succulent!
