Grüner Veltliner Stein

The grapes for this wine come from various mountain slopes with the Loiserberg and the Steinmassl making up the lion’s share. The goal is to deliver an elegant interpretation of Langenlois and the cool, elevated slopes that make it such a special place. The must was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures and left to rest on the fine lees before bottling in spring.

Grapefruit, salt, and wet rock, refreshing, rejuvenating and appetizing: all these attributes are found on the nose and the palate. Stone fruit completes the array of aromas. The structure is compact and tightly woven while the style is cool and elegant, and a fine texture coats the mouth. Playful and refreshing, but by no means superficial.

"Still a bit embryonic with plenty of funk, this has plenty of sweet vegetal aromas, as well as some grapefruit. Very lively acidity in this context gives it a lot of vitality and appeal. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
