100% Aglianico. From a mere 6 rows of 70-year-old Aglianico vines amidst a larger Magliocco vineyard in the Frascineto area of northern Calabria at the foot of nearby mountains. The farming is certified-organic and harvest is manual. The bunches are mainly destemmed and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tanks without sulfur or temperature control. The wine is aged for a year in steel and bottled unfiltered. Zero sulfur. "Agata" is named for the daughter of a good friend of Dino's who loved her tiny taste of the first vintage (2019) of the wine.
