This vineyard is located at the very top of the Latricières apellation. Bordered by woods on three sides, with a very rocky soil, this half-hectare vineyard produces fresh, mineral wines. The block is divided in two parts, an old one of about 60 years old and a younger part which is about 25 years old.

This wine is fermented 80% whole cluster; the fruit is put in tank without any crushing. A cold soak follows, then the alcoholic fermentation takes place with very little intervention, with pump-overs and punch-downs as needed. The wine is then gravity-fed into French oak barrels (100% new) for malolactic fermentation and aging. Bottled at the beginning of March.

93-95 points
"(from a .53 ha parcel; 80% whole cluster). Like the Reignots this is closed and brooding atpresent though aggressive swirling grudgingly liberates cool, pure and airy red berry fruit scents along with a profusion of floralelements. There is a lovely sense of energy to the intensely mineral-driven, focused, precise and driving medium-bodiedflavors that culminate in a moderately austere and gorgeously sustained finale. This is very Latricières and should ageaccordingly. (93-95)/2027+"
