This vineyard is located at the very top of the Latricières apellation. Bordered by woods on three sides, with a very rocky soil, this half-hectare vineyard produces fresh, mineral wines. The block is divided in two parts, an old one of about 60 years old and a younger part which is about 25 years old. Vinified with 100% whole cluster fermentation and aged in 30% new oak.

"...reveals exceptional potential and ranks as one of the most exciting wines Charles Lachaux has produced to date, wafting from the glass with aromas of wild berries, dark chocolate, grilled game bird, peony and mossy soil. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with a dense, layered core, tangy balancing acids and a long, vibrant finish. It's currently quite reserved and will demand some patience."

"(Lachaux made just three barrels from 0.5 hectare, or about 14 hectoliters per hectare; 100% vendange entier): Healthy bright red. Mellow, subtly complex aromas of plum, redcurrant, raspberry and smoke. A fleshy, glyceral style in the context of this group of '16s but classically dry and remarkably airy too, with its red fruit flavors lifted by mineral and minty nuances. A serious, rather backward style of 2016, finishing with fine-grained tannins and noteworthy finesse."

"...The racy, intense and patently mineral-driven flavors are stony to the point that they are akin to rolling small pebbles around in your mouth, all wrapped in a balanced, youthfully austere and overtly saline finish. This is a classic Latricières of grace, lace and taut muscularity."
