Pinot Noir Bishop Creek

In blind tastings from 2012 to 2014, founders Jean-Nicolas and Jay were both drawn to Pinot Noirs from this site and were surprised to learn that the vineyard was for sale. In 2014, they jumped at the opportunity of owning this famed location.

The vines at Bishop Creek were planted in the 1980’s and remain own-rooted; the site is notable for its diversity of Pinot Noir clones, elevation and dense vine spacing. At optimal ripeness, the fruit is hand-picked and gently placed in two layers in small, 1/8th-ton cherry bins, ensuring the clusters arrive at the winery intact for hand-sorting. The wine ferments naturally and spends 15 months in 50% new French oak; bottled unfined and unfiltered.
