Pinot Noir Cancilla Vineyard

Cancilla Vineyard is a 53-acre site (20-acres under vine) located in the Willamette Valley AVA. The first vines were planted in 1999 and the vineyard was fully organic by 2009. The cool, late ripening site is situated at 500-600 feet elevation in silty clay loam soils.

The fruit was 100% destemmed, all native fermentation, and aged in 18% new French oak for 11 months. 450 cases produced.

"Deep red. Intensely perfumed red fruit and rose pastille aromas are complemented by deeper notes of cola, cherry pit and licorice. Nicely concentrated on the palate, offering sweet black raspberry and cherry cola flavors and a touch of star anise. Shows excellent clarity and spicy thrust on the finish, which features smooth, velvety tannins and repeating floral character."
