Faîte De Mer Farm is Jason and Molly Drew's estate vineyard property located on the far western edge of the Mendocino Ridge appellation. At three miles from the Pacific ocean, this site is the most westward vineyard in Mendocino County and the coolest site that they work with. The soils are of ancient ocean floor origin - made up of decomposed sandstone mixed with gravelly materials that include shale and quartz, along with varying levels of clay. These soils and maritime climate coupled with the surrounding coastal forest are what defines this coastal terroir. 40% whole cluster fermentation with native yeasts, and matured in neutral oak for eleven months.
