Pinot Noir "Soberanes Vineyard"
The grapes were harvested in the early morning hours and transported immediately to the winery, where they were destemmed and cold soaked for 48 hours and then fermented, with three punchdowns daily. After fermentation, the wine rested 11 months in a mix of new (50%) and one-year old French oak.
Black Kite has produced a Pinot Noir from three rows of vines in the Soberanes Vineyard planted with the Pisoni clone since 2010. They make about 200-250 cases per year.
