Poula is a local word meaning abandoned, the name of this wine is a tribute to the old, abandoned vineyards of the area. The soils are iron-rich clay and granite based. The average age of the vines is between seventy and one hundred and ten years old, planted between 700-800 meters altitude. This is a field blend of about forty percent white grapes, with the rest Is divided between Garnacha Tintorera and Mencia. Foot-trodden, fermented together in anfora and large wooden barrels then aged in 600L French oak for twelve months.
