Red Blend "White Horse"
A wild yeast fermented blend of Cabernet Franc (70%) and Merlot (30%) named in appreciation of the renowned Right Bank producer, Cheval Blanc. This vintage is from Kim and Deb’s vineyard on the west side of Cayuga Lake with soil that is shale derived and naturally high in lime. The 2014 season followed a severe winter resulting in a very small crop that provided a wine of good concentration and depth. Bottled by hand without filtering or fining and with minimal SO2 addition in spring 2016.
