Rosso di Montalcino

100% Sangiovese from hillside vineyards located at between 270-320 meters. The average age of the vines is 15 years old. La Gerla Rosso spends six monhts in tank, then one year in Slavonian oak (large casks of 50hl) and another six months in bottle before being released.

"The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino makes itself known with a captivating display of dusty rose, fresh strawberries and hints of confectionary spice. This silky and feminine effort impresses further with a savory mix of red and hints of blue fruit, as salty mineral tones create a more tactile feel toward the close. A note of sour cherry pits lingers under an air of purple-tinged flowers as it tapers off lightly structured. The 2019 would benefit from a short stay in the cellar, and it should emerge as an incredibly pretty Rosso."

"Radiant and well structured in the main profile it offers notes of geraniums, strawberries and mixed white flowers. Medium body, well extracted soft tannins and a pleasant and flowing finish that offers pleasure and the desire to return to the glass to the consumer. Drink now."
