100% Syrah from the Renaissance Vineyard in North Yuba. The Syrah vineyard sits at 2300’ of elevation on a steep eastern-facing slope. Due to its aspect, the Syrah develops thick skins as the site endures strong winds that ebb and flow daily. In 2019 the Suba Rosa was picked in several passes between August 20th and August 26th, whole-cluster foot-stomped, and received punchdowns morning and evening for ten days before pressing. The wine aged on the lees in neutral French oak for three years. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a 30ppm sulfur addition. 97 cases produced.
