40% Cinsault/30% Grenache/20% Carignan/10% Syrah. "à l'Aventure" in its first vintage is only the third wine from new estate Domaine La Providence. In the northwest corner of Provence at 280-300 meters above sea level, the vines are planted on marine-originated soils that are sandy, silty, stony, rich in limestone and low on clay. They range in age from 27 to 55 years old (average is 38 years as of 2022). The farming is certified-organic and the harvest is manual.

The four varieties are vinified separately. Each goes through a carbonic maceration of about 15 days, followed by a regular fermentation with indigenous yeasts only, all in tank. The wines are aged individually in 500-liter demi-muids for 6 months with periodic bâtonnage and without racking. The wine is blended and bottled without fining or filtration and with a modest amount of sulfur (29 g/l). Domaine La Providence lies within the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOC, but they are opting for Vin de France classification. The playful label features the vigneron Jean-Benoît Comor, his wife and their five kids (all part of the adventure!).
