Semillon~Sauvignon Blanc from Renaissance Vineyard in North Yuba. The Semillon sits directly above the Sauvignon Blanc on the same slope at Renaissance. The vines are over 40 years old, own-rooted and dry farmed. The fruit was harvested in a number of passes using the same process as Aguafiestas, where fruit is gradually added to the fermentation tank as it comes in over a few week period with a mix of direct press and foot stomped fruit before pressing. Dani lets the aging go a bit further in barrel than required so that there's the opportunity to combine the acidity with the richness from the lees.
