Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley

2017 was exceptionally low yielding. The growing season started off well with full reservoirs and replenished soils. The cons: inconsistent weather patterns and extreme heat spikes resulting in reduced fruit set. The pros: temperate summer days right before harvest and cool nights fostered good flavor development while keeping sugars down and acids intact. Both challenging and rewarding, the end result was a small crop of excellent quality.
Moderate in alcohol and bone dry, this two-vineyard marriage is the perfect red wine for a weekend celebration. A 50/50 blend of Nalle Estate Old Vine Zinfandel and Bernier-Sibary field blend, this classic wine is a testimony to over 35 years of experience in bottling balanced, flavorful Zin reflective of Dry Creek Valley.
