Blaufränkisch

The grapes for this wine come from the somewhat younger vines (five to fifteen years old) that grow in Deutsch Schützen, Eisenberg and Hannersberg. All are planted in deep, iron-rich clay soils. Fermentation is in stainless steel, with between fourteen and seventeen days' maceration; the wine then spends ten months maturing, partially in stainless steel and partially in large wooden casks.

Fewer than 500 cases produced.
