Morehouse Road Vineyard, planted in 2001, differs from Auten in its east-west row orientation, and its Lima silt-loam soils which contain much less clay than neighboring Auten. This row orientation provides ample sun and tannin development on the south side of the rows, while clusters on the north side retain high acidity levels. The winemaking is identical for both Auten and Morehouse 2022 bottlings.
