ID: 17868900670536785 We sent our @julietterpope to Italy with @louisdressnerselections and she always sends us the best updates! 1. Still Croci, anyone? The Valtolla white is a gentle orange and the 2 reds are medium-to-full, spicy and delicious; these wines are parcels/vats that would be too heavy for sparkling. 2. This is Massi[miliano] in the vines, all in a contiguous, organically farmed property around the house/winery on the hillside. 3. These are the Croatina vines going down the hill in front of the house. 4. And these are the old Campedello vines next to the winery. 5. We tasted Campedello from 2 concrete tanks, still in fermentation but stopping because of the cold, one at about 20g RS, the other around 8. The lots will be blended and bottled in early spring with about 12-13 g sugar (enough to generate a gentle 3 atm of pressure at dryness in the end), before the wine re-starts fermentation as the air warms. The Crocis bottle during the waning moon or luna calante that usually coincides with Easterat this time the wine is in a more settled stateif they do it during a waxing moon, the wine is more active and bottles explode.6 years 2 weeks ago
