"The 2023 Tacoronte el Adelanta from Tierra Fundida is made from a blend of Listán Negro, Negramoll and Castellana Negra. The grapes are foot-trodden, entirely whole cluster and fermented separately in cement, prior to aging for just under half a year in a combination of barricas and demi-muids. After their short sojourn in casks, the varietals are blended and finished with additional aging in concrete prior to bottling. The wine tips the scales at a svelte thirteen percent and delivers a beautiful expressive bouquet of dark berries, cassis, cola, tree bark, volcanic soils and a lovely array of sweet botanicals in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, precise, full-bodied and nicely structured, with superb depth of fruit at the core, fine mineral drive and grip, ripe tannins and a long, well balanced and impressively complex finish. This is an outstanding wine in the making, just give it enough time in the cellar to soften up its tannins. 2033- 2075. "
