Anastasia Benson

Anastasia developed an affinity for physical labor as a child, being farmed out in the summers to detassle corn. Upon graduating high school, she realized she could finally choose the books she wanted to read and the crops she wanted to farm, and that conscious decision was grapes! She landed in the Finger Lakes at the ripe age of 18 and worked in vineyards and cellars for a decade, including a few vintages abroad in France, Italy and New Zealand.
Needing to pay for that liberal arts degree she wasn’t using, she moonlit on the restaurant floor and honed the gift of gab. After being swooned into a brief stint in wine retail, a position that broadened her scope and sense of place, the open road beckoned her back.
Coming from a family of steel salesman in the beloved rustbelt, it was a natural progression for Anastasia to join the import/distro side of the biz. She cut her teeth working for five years at a fellow importer before joining the intrepid team at Bowler! The love of physical labor and adoration of dendrological structures persists in the form of casually carrying a case of wine in one hand. Better to call her, as she’s bound to be driving.
