With nearly 20 years of experience in winemaking, David Scheidt is the founder and winemaker for Mastro Scheidt Cellars in Sonoma County. A California and Central Valley native, David graduated from Fresno State, and continues to call Fresno and the Valley home.

A recognized speaker and author, David’s intellectual contributions range from guest lecturing on enology at CSU Fresno to his past life of publishing insights on investment benchmarking. Outside the office and the cellar, he is an accomplished alpine mountaineer—having climbed the Eiger in Switzerland, Cathedral Peak in Yosemite, Cotopaxi in Ecuador and numerous other peaks on 6 continents. David is also an avid culinary enthusiast who trained at the Culinary Institute of Florence, cooked throughout Southern Italy, as well as a small lodge in Mammoth Lakes, CA.
