Cinsault/Carignan 'Marea en Flor'
Cinsault~Carignan from Preston Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Sonoma County. This organically farmed site is noteworthy for it's 85+ year-old Carignan (and Zin!) plantings on well draining, gravelly soils. The Cinsault block dates to the mid to late 1980's. The fruit is foot stomped and fermented with stems, aged in barrel for one year and an additional year in bottle before release.
