This is a blend of  95% Cinsault and 5% País, hand-harvested from vines planted in 1960. The whole berries are fermented with native yeast, and the wine is aged in neutral oak.

The nose shows bright red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with rose petals and hints of fresh florest floor. The palate is defined by its tannin and acid structure that keeps the wine lifted, accentuating the fruit and leading to a racy finish.

"The Grand Itata Cinsault all comes from old-vine parcels on granite soils and is wonderfully pure and transparent, with no oak intervention at all. Floral, racy and peppery with rose petal and red cherry notes and a nip of stony tannins. 2023-2027 "

"The nose of the 2021 Grand Itata screams Cinsault from Guarilihue with those bright aromas of translucent red berries, aromatic herbs and exotic spices (nutmeg and cola nut). This has good ripeness, 13% alcohol, very good definition and clarity and is expressive of the granite soils. This wine is textbook for the variety and place. It's a great value too. 13,000 bottles produced."
