38% Tempranillo, 27% Garnacha, 17% Graciano, and 18% Zinfandel from three sites in the Clements Hills sub-appellation of Lodi; Hunter's Oak Vineyard (Tempranillo and Garnacha - Lodi Rules Sustainable Certified), Terra Alta Vineyard (Graciano - Certified Organic), and Suess Vineyard (Zin - Lodi Rules Sustainable Certified). The three vineyards are planted on alluvial sandy clay loam soils, and are farmed by Markus Bokisch, a primary grower involved in setting up the region’s Lodi Rules sustainable viticulture program. The fruit was fermented with foot-crushed whole clusters and aged for 45-months (!) in neutral French oak barrels.
