100% Nebbiolo. Bera planted a single hectare of Nebbiolo in 2020. 2023 is the first vintage from it. Like all other Bera parcels, it is certified-organic and worked and harvested by hand. Bera makes the wine like its other reds. The bunches are destemmed and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks without sulfur or temperature control. The maceration is short at a week. The wine is aged in the same concrete tanks for 1 year without racking and bottled unfiltered with a mere 1 gram/liter of sulfur. "Ninet" is local dialect for "little boy", a reference to the very young vines and the newness of this wine in the Bera line-up.
