"This is the very first unfortified wine ever released from the small Sherry house of Fernando de Castilla. It is made entirely of Palomino and was given six months aging on its fine lees prior to bottling. The wine offers up a complex nose of lemon, green olive, salty Jerez minerality, gentle nuttiness and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full- bodied, crisp and complex, with superb depth at the core, fine focus and balance and a long, energetic finish. This wine comes in at an even thirteen percent octane and is a perfect bottle for those (like me) who love the flavors and complexity of Sherry, but find the wines too high octane to drink with regularity. Fine juice. 2026-2033."
