This bold blend of Bordeaux varieties from Chile is just the thing to uncork when cuddling up indoors with a book and a fireplace, if youve got it. (Otherwise I recommend Crackling Birchwood on Netflix.) This wine hails from the Maule Valley, one of the oldest AVAs in Chile and is made with little intervention from grapes grown on dry farmed bush vines planted in a labyrinth in granite and volcanic soil. Fermented in concrete and finished in mature oak for a year. Its earthy, wild, structured, and fleshy with a dark spicy finish that goes on and on.
