A longtime fan of beverage pairings, Diana was suggesting Sprite with Fritos and Coke with Doritos before many of her friends were allowed to drink soda. Raised by parents who loved to dine, most childhood nights were spent in restaurants. A haphazard move to New York City and a disillusionment with a childhood dream of fashion design led to her discovering her true calling in the city’s legendary hospitality industry.  Her penchant for pairings and sense of feeling at home in a dining room made for countless fun nights and opportunities to engage, learn and…taste.  Most importantly, many of the lasting connections she made while working in the dining rooms of NYC were with winemakers, wine lovers, and wine collectors. These eventually led her away from the restaurant floor and into the wine side of the business. 

Her years in hospitality follow a youth spent visiting European suppliers to her family’s art importing business and studying Romance Languages and Environmental Ethics at University. All of these factors combined to bring her exactly where she is supposed to be today.  In a vineyard in Piemonte with a glass of Nebbiolo in her hand, an hour away from a dinner reservation at Centro Storico. Or rather, traversing the streets of New York with a world of stories and flavors in her backpack, sharing them with the hospitality professionals she loves so much.
