100% Chardonnay. 2022 is just the second vintage of white wine at Desvignes, the first in the domaine's 8 generations. The 15-year-old vines are in the same vineyard as the Gamay for their relatively new "L'Aube à Javernières". The 0.26-hectare plot of Chardonnay is on the same deep clay soils as the red, just outside the Morgon appellation on the edge of the Javernières lieu-dit at the base of the Côte du Py hill. The farming is certified-organic and the harvest by hand. The bunches are mainly direct-pressed with around 20% destemmed. The wine goes through malo and is aged in concrete egg for 7 months and bottled with a light, non-sterile filtration.
