Will Bucklin began sourcing Cabernet Sauvignon from his close neighbor and friend Morgan Peterson of Bedrock Vineyard in 2021, after removing the Cabernet parcel at Old Hill Ranch, which had slowly succumbed to phylloxera. Bedrock Vineyard is located less than half a mile south of Old Hill Ranch in the Sonoma Valley. The Cabernet vines were planted in 1995 on rocky, iron-rich Tuscan Cobbly Loam soils and are farmed organically (Certified Regenerative Organic). The wine was fermented with ambient yeasts and aged for 18 months in 225L French oak barrels (40% new) before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
