Pinot Noir from the half-acre "Old Block" parcel of the Beinstock's Home Vineyard, planted in 1979 on clay-loam over volcanic ash soils. While the area is known for its steep and rocky terrain, the Beinstock's vineyard is gently sloping with few rocks to be found, and is unusually cool in the context of the Sierra Foothills AVA. This cuvée is only produced in years when yields allow Gideon and Saron to harvest a full barrel worth of grapes.
